“Iron
sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs
27: 17)
We at
Badaro Baptist Church desire to see men and women grow in
their faith in Christ and knowledge of the Bible, as well as
connect with one another. For this reason, the church
arranges several camps during the year for adults, men, and
women. The purpose behind this ministry is to:
- get
away from the hectic and turbulence of life,
-
have quiet and quality time with God and with each other,
- challenge
men and women to strive to be the way God created them to
be,
- fulfill
the purpose in the way we relate to our families, in the way
we relate in the working world, in the way we worship and
serve God, and in the way we carry out the plans and purposes
God has for us.
The camps are always an opportunity to solve issues that
affect our personal life in relation to problems and the
society we are living in. They are a great opportunity to
get to know each other better, and hear and learn more about
the God we serve. These fruitful days are highlighted with
harmony and enthusiasm among all campers coming from
different age groups.
The camps we have organized every year since 1969 have taken
place in Souk El Gharb School (Aley), Katchak Center for
Armenians (Monteverde), Lebanese Evangelical School for
Girls and Boys (Loueizeh), Deir Saydit El-Nour (Faytroun),
and Deir Saydit El Jabal (Fatqa).
The series and sermons in each camp revolved around a
different theme, such as:
2008: Until We Get There / 2007:
We Are Different / 2005: The Life
and the Ministry of the Believer
2004: The Path of Faith / 2003:
Laborers for Work / 2002: The
Believer is a Stranger / 2001:
Building Yourselves
2000: The Grace that is Working Today /
1999: Getting Ready / 1998:
Holiness / 1997: The Fruits
1996: The Revival / 1995:
For Yet a Little While and He Who is Coming will Come and
Will not Tarry
1993: In Your Presence is Fullness of Joy
/ 1992: … Who Walks in the Midst of
the Seven Golden Lamp Stands |

The Church's Annual Summer Camp - August
23-25 , 2011
The church has long been awaiting this event. All church members
and friends gathered at the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary
for a three-day retreat led by reverend Imad Shehadeh under the
theme “For yet a little while…” (Hebrews 10:37). The conference
tackled deep theological topics about the nature of heaven and
hell, the freedom of remission and justification, and the true
meaning of the trinity.
We can confidently say that the lord truly blessed us.

Men's Camp
- August
10th–13th, 2011
Summer is back, and the church’s
men kept their tradition by reuniting in Beit Monzer around the
theme “What does it mean to be Christian?”. Pastor Tony
discussed the five essential points that make up a real
Christian person. This entails being born again (a new creation,
a new life, and a new loyalty), being the possession of God
(chosen, appointed, loved, and stranger), living by faith
(faithful steward, fruitful, conqueror), protected by the Lord
(through Christ, the word of God, prayer, church, and
commitment), and a servant minister (a great honor that needs
humility). |

Men's Camp
- July
15th–18th, 2010
The
July camp has become a yearly event organized by the church’s
men. Every summer they
unite together in the midst of the nature where they
have a quiet time with the lord and with each other.
On
July 15th, 2010,
the men of the church gathered in a campus that is
located in one of the most beautiful mountains of
Lebanon, the pastor shared many
important
themes that touch our Christian morals:
selfishness, anger, integrity, relationships, and
forgiveness.
During their free time, the men enjoyed the nature
and engaged in some sport activities and
constructive talks.

Men's Nature Camp -
July
15th-18th, 2009
Pastor Byron Yawn from the Christian Bible
Church in Nashville, visited our church where he gave
a series of sermons about "God's Grace" that were a real
blessing to us.
Under the theme "Christ Our Joy", the young men along with Pastors Byron
Yawn and Tony Skaff drove all the way to "Beit Monzer"
Camping area, in the middle of the nature, to have some quiet
time with God and with each other.
A series of devotions on the "Beatitudes" was given by Pastor
Yawn.
During free times, the men enjoyed many outdoor activities. The
sound of the running water in the river that was flowing by
their side and the chirping of birds, created a relaxing and
comfortable environment. |
